Arke is due to present at the June 2016 SCAF (Society for Cost Analysis and Forecasting) summer workshop, which is focused this year on ‘Support Solutions’. The event, which is held in Preston, represents a great opportunity for us to discuss some of our current thinking and our recent experience with other members of the SCAF community.
Arke’s presentation is titled “Divergence Assessment: Addressing the flaws of support cost predictions”, and aims to discuss some key conclusions we presented during recent work on behalf of Dstl. The presentation talks about the dangers of using a traditional ‘flat line’ estimating approach, and shows that a Divergence Assessment Framework can be used to determine the confidence that MoD can have in its future support costs predictions, which will account for over 50% of the defence budget in the next 10 years. Stuart Cole will be presenting on behalf of Arke, for more information or to arrange a discussion with Stuart on this topic please contact him directly.
