Arke has been successful in winning a Business Leader Award in the BAE Systems Chairman’s Awards 2016 Scheme.
As part of a collaborative task with Industry partners and Academia, this award recognises the team’s ‘breakthrough’ evidence demonstrated of the benefits of applying the Human Factors Integration (HFI) process in capability acquisition. The work was conducted as part of a human capability study undertaken on behalf of the MOD.
Arke developed the methodology for quantifying the cost-effectiveness of HFI including the wider benefits of managing risks relating to the human component of capability proactively across the lifecycle. This represented the UK’s first re-usable, evidence-based analytical framework, which was used by the study team and MOD to generate independent and impartial evidence for/against the value of HFI for the purpose of future acquisition programmes.
Arke staff will be receiving the accolade at a recognition event in November 2016. This is the third occasion Arke’s work has been celebrated in the BAE Awards, previously in 2009 and again in 2013, testament to the high quality work produced by Arke over the last decade. More information on the 2013 award can be found here.
