Arke on the USNI

During last years visit to the Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) Exhibition in London, Arke were approached by a writer from the US Naval Institute (USNI) website to give our view on the current and potential future role that 3D printing can play in the UK’s Naval Forces.

Having led an evidence based logistics support analysis with the objective of proving or refuting the simple hypothesis “The adoption of Additive Manufacturing in Defence Logistics has the potential to deliver huge cost savings to the supply chain” for Dstl, Paul Jones spoke to John Redmond about the Additive Manufacturing process, its potential benefits and offered his thoughts as to future exploitation methods.
